Privacy Policy

At BooksPublishingHub, protecting your personal data and manuscript privacy is our top priority.

At BooksPublishingHub, protecting your personal data is a priority. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have when you visit bookspublishinghub.com or use our ghostwriting, editing, design, publishing, and distribution services.

By using the Website or submitting your information to us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Information you give us: This includes your full name, email address, phone number, billing details, project type, and any details you share about your book when you request a quote, book a consultation, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter, or sign up for a Service.
  • Project materials: This includes manuscripts, drafts, outlines, notes, images, and other content you provide, as well as recorded and transcribed interviews we conduct with you for ghostwriting projects.
  • Payment information: Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number on our servers; we receive only limited details such as payment confirmation and the last digits of your card.
  • Technical and usage data: This includes your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring pages, and time spent on the Website.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: These help the Website function, remember your preferences, and measure performance (see Section 6).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your inquiries, prepare quotes, and schedule consultations.
  • Deliver the Services you request, including writing, editing, design, ISBN registration, and distribution setup.
  • Process payments and send invoices and project-related communications.
  • Improve the speed, security, and user experience of the Website.
  • Prevent spam, fraud, and abuse, including through bot-verification tools on our forms.
  • Send newsletters, offers, and service updates, only where you have opted in.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Confidentiality of Your Manuscript

Your manuscript and project materials belong to you. We use them only to provide the Services you have requested. Our staff and contractors who handle your materials are bound by confidentiality obligations, and ghostwriting projects are covered by a confidentiality agreement. We do not use your manuscript to promote our business or share it publicly without your written permission.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers: Vendors that help us operate the Website and deliver the Services, such as payment processors, email and form tools, hosting and analytics providers, and freelance editors, designers, and ghostwriters working under confidentiality terms.
  • Distribution partners: When you ask us to publish your book, we share the book's title, description, author name, cover, files, and related metadata with retailers and distributors (for example IngramSpark, Amazon KDP, Barnes & Noble Press, Draft2Digital, Apple Books, and Kobo) so your book can be listed for sale. This information becomes public once your book is published.
  • Legal and regulatory bodies: Where disclosure is required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, and property.
  • Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, and we will notify you of any change in how it is handled.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. These include access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and limiting access to those who need it to provide the Services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tools to keep the Website working, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the Website work.

Our Website may use third-party services such as analytics tools and bot-verification (CAPTCHA) tools, which may set their own cookies and collect technical data under their own privacy policies.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy. Inquiry and quote information is generally kept for up to 24 months if no project follows. Client and project records are kept for the duration of the project and as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Once information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Books already published and distributed through third-party retailers remain subject to those retailers' own policies.

For California residents: You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
